Music Clubs
The Instrumental Club consists of students in 1st-5th grade. Goals of the club include improving skills in beat, rhythm, and reading music. Instruments used include recorders and Orff drums/percussion. We may use other instruments at a later date. Students will become better musicians in reading and performing music.

The Choir Club consists of students from 1st-5th grade who love to sing as a choir or solo. Proper voice techniques are taught which include vocal warm-ups and sight-reading skills. The class includes opportunities for children to sing solo in the style of karaoke. Students practice their own songs at home and are allowed to showcase their talents in front of peers singing with a microphone.

The mission of the Betts Elementary Music Memory Club is to introduce students to classical music and study the composers who wrote the music.
This is a competition club for fifth grade students. All 5th grade students learn the classical songs, but only six students qualify to compete. Class begins after the District Choir Concert.
